ACTIVE PARIS ADVENTURE

Eiffel Tower Climbing Tour: 2nd Floor & Summit Access

Climb, Conquer, and Uncover the Engineering Secrets of Gustave Eiffel.

The Climb

What truly sets our Eiffel Tower Climbing Tour apart? It is the storytelling. We don’t just walk you up; our guides are passionate local experts who share the secrets, scandals, and engineering marvels you won’t find on an app. They make the climb an adventure.

We also guarantee a Small Group (Max 25 guests). This means you get a personal experience, can hear your guide clearly, and have plenty of time to ask questions. It’s far better than being lost in a massive crowd.

Why Choose This Tour?

  • Active Adventure: Experience the tower physically, not just visually. Earn your view!
  • Honest Access: We use the dedicated “Stairs Entrance” which usually has shorter lines than the elevators.
  • Flexibility: Climb to the 2nd Floor, then choose to add the Summit Upgrade to take the elevator to the very top.

How To Find Your Guide
Your guide will be easy to spot! Look for the guide wearing a black cap with the white SZ logo.

Faq

It is 674 steps to the 2nd floor. We take a comfortable pace with stops on the landings to hear stories and rest. If you can walk up 3-4 flights of stairs without issue, you can do this!

No! You only climb the stairs to the 2nd Floor. From there, your guide directs you to the elevator for a ride to the Summit.

Yes! You can take the elevator down from the 2nd floor to the ground for free if you are tired.

We operate rain or shine! The tower is safe and spectacular in all weather. If it rains, please wear non-slip shoes and a rain jacket.

We are 100% honest: Everyone must pass security lines. However, our Eiffel Tower Climbing Tour uses the dedicated stairs entrance, which generally has much shorter queues than the main elevator entrance.

Punctuality is critical for this tour. While we try to offer some flexibility on our general city walking tours, the Eiffel Tower operates differently.

Recommendation: We strongly advise arriving 15 minutes early. If you miss the departure, we unfortunately cannot offer a refund or reschedule, as the guide and group will have already entered the security zone.

The Grace Period: We offer a strictly limited 5-minute grace period.

The Reason: Eiffel Tower security lines grow exponentially. Waiting just 10 minutes for a late arrival can result in an extra 30-45 minutes of queuing for the entire group.

The Policy: Out of respect for the 24 other guests and to ensure the group clears security smoothly, the guide must leave promptly 5 minutes after the start time.
